BetPawa Futsal Clubs Champion Menstrual Hygiene in Mawokota County

In a remarkable act of corporate social responsibility, the 12 clubs of the 2024/25 BetPawa Futsal Super League have united to support menstrual hygiene initiatives in Mawokota County. Collaborating with the Miss Tourism Mawokota (MTM) Foundation, the clubs donated over 10,000 sanitary pads to improve menstrual health management among vulnerable girls. The contribution aims to address stigmas and barriers associated with menstruation while promoting dignity, confidence, and education for girls in Kyewanise Village, Kituuntu Sub-County, Mpigi District.

The handover ceremony, set for Sunday, January 26th, 2025, will also feature educational sessions on menstrual hygiene and self-care, empowering girls with knowledge and resources. Launched in October 2024, the MTM Foundation is a champion for gender equity, focusing on providing access to education, healthcare, and essential resources for girls and women in Mawokota County. Through initiatives such as advocating for free sanitary pads in schools, the foundation ensures that schoolgirls can pursue their education uninterrupted and with confidence.

This partnership reflects the BetPawa Futsal Super League’s commitment to community development. Representatives from the league, including FAU Excom Member Najjuma Qulthum, Mengo City Director Munyagwa Umar, Kisenyi FC Director Omarios, and Kabowa Dream Team CEO Kalanzi Earnest, expressed pride in contributing to this transformative initiative. Similarly, MTM Foundation’s Hajji Nsereko Musoke Isa emphasized the collaboration’s role in fostering a supportive environment for young girls.

By joining hands with the MTM Foundation, the BetPawa Futsal Super League clubs have set a powerful example of how sports can drive meaningful social change. This impactful initiative underscores the importance of collective action in tackling pressing societal issues, ensuring a brighter and more inclusive future for the girls of Mawokota County.
