CAF African Schools Football Championship Draws Unveiled

The highly anticipated group stage draws for the 2025 CAF African Schools Football Championship have taken place at the offices of Multi Choice Limited in Ghana. African football legends Asamoah Gyan and Clementine Toure led the draw ceremony, joined by other notable figures Adjoa Bayor and Amanda Dlamini.

Tournament Lineup

The 16 teams in both the boys’ and girls’ categories have been divided into four groups of four teams each. Uganda’s representatives have been drawn into the following groups:

  • Girls: St Noa (Uganda) – Group B with South Africa (defending champions), DR Congo, and The Gambia
  • Boys: St Mary’s Kitende (Uganda) – Group A with Ghana (hosts), South Africa, and Algeria

Group Stage Matchups

The groups are set, promising an exciting tournament:

  • Girls’ Group A: Ghana, Morocco, Benin, and Malawi
  • Girls’ Group B: South Africa, Uganda, DR Congo, and The Gambia
  • Boys’ Group A: Ghana, Uganda, South Africa, and Algeria
  • Boys’ Group B: Tanzania (defending champions), Senegal, Cote d’Ivoire, and DR Congo

The U15 tournament kicks off on April 23, 2025, and concludes on April 26, 2025, at the University of Ghana in Accra. Both Ugandan teams have arrived in Ghana, ready to compete for glory.
