The Stanbic Uganda Cup has entered a thrilling phase as the quarterfinal draw unveiled mouth-watering fixtures on Monday at the Kansai Plascon headquarters in Kampala. Defending champions Kitara FC are set for a blockbuster clash with 2022 winners BUL FC in what promises to be a titanic showdown between two in-form sides.

Kitara FC sealed their place in the last eight after edging Gaddafi FC 2-1 away at Entebbe Works Playground, while BUL FC showcased ruthless efficiency with a commanding 7-0 demolition of Total FC at the FUFA Technical Center in Njeru. The upcoming fixture is expected to draw huge attention as both sides aim to reclaim cup glory.
In another epic encounter, three-time winners Vipers SC will host nine-time champions SC Villa at the intimidating St. Mary’s Stadium in Kitende. Vipers booked their quarterfinal berth with a convincing victory over Blacks Power, whereas SC Villa navigated past Lugazi FC to keep their hopes of silverware alive.

Police FC, coached by the experienced Matia Lule, have been paired with Kataka FC, the surprise package of the tournament who eliminated top-tier side URA FC. Meanwhile, KCCA FC, the most decorated team in the competition with ten titles, will hit the road to face dark horses Kaaro Karungi in a potentially tricky tie.
According to the FUFA Competitions Department, the quarterfinals will be played over a single leg between April 18th and 22nd. In the event of a draw after 90 minutes, matches will proceed to extra time and, if necessary, be settled via penalty shootouts. With such high stakes and legacy on the line, fans can expect drama, intensity, and unforgettable moments in this year’s cup campaign.
