Eric Owori Steps In as Acting Uganda Premier League Boss After Kabaikaramu’s 15-Year Reign

Paul Kabaikaramu

The FUFA Super League Limited (FSLL) has announced the end of an era with the departure of Paul Kabaikaramu as League Manager, bringing his 15-year tenure to a close on 30th June 2025. In a statement released by FSLL, the organisation expressed deep appreciation for Kabaikaramu’s outstanding service, crediting him with professionalising competitions management and playing a pivotal role in the Uganda Premier League’s growth and operational transformation.

Kabaikaramu’s near-decade-and-a-half stewardship is hailed as a period of integrity, excellence, and unwavering commitment to Ugandan football. Under his leadership, the League saw improvements in its competitive structure, logistical coordination, and stakeholder engagement. His legacy, FSLL noted, would continue to influence the League’s path long after his departure.

Eric Owori

In a seamless transition, FSLL has appointed Mr Eric Eron Owori as Acting League Manager, effective 1st July 2025. Owori has served as the League Statistician for over 12 years, working closely under the guidance of Kabaikaramu. His familiarity with the League’s internal systems, data-driven operations, and performance monitoring makes him a natural successor in this interim phase.

“I’m honoured and ready for this next challenge,” Owori said after his appointment. “I am grateful to the Uganda Premier League Board, the CEO, and all stakeholders for the trust they’ve placed in me. I look forward to building on the foundation laid and steering the League forward.”

As FSLL navigates this leadership transition, it reaffirms its commitment to the professional management and progressive development of the Uganda Premier League. The board remains confident in Owori’s ability to deliver stability, innovation, and continuity during this crucial period for Ugandan football.
