
Fifa president Gianni Infantino signed a landmark agreement with Moroccan Head of Government Aziz Akhannouch and Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) President Fouzi Lekjaa to establish the FIFA Africa Office in Rabat, Morocco’s vibrant capital. This historic event, witnessed by Confederation of African Football (CAF) President Patrice Motsepe, marked a significant milestone in FIFA’s commitment to developing football across Africa.
The sun cast its golden glow over the bustling streets of Marrakech as the leaders gathered, surrounded by the rich cultural heritage of Morocco. With the agreement signed, the FIFA Africa Office would soon become a beacon of football development, nurturing talent and promoting the beautiful game across the continent.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “This is where we’ll draw the future of African football, together. We will write new fascinating and exciting pages for the future of African football. I am sure that, together, we will give Africa the success it deserves.” The office, set to open in 2025, would strengthen FIFA’s engagement with African football stakeholders, promote football development, and support the growth of the sport.
