From the emerald hills of Fort Portal to the dusty trails of Kyenjojo, the motorsport gods are summoning the fiercest drivers for a battle that could break hearts and rewrite destiny. Welcome to the UMC Fort Portal Tourism City Rally 2025 – Round 5 of the National Rally Championship, and without a doubt, the rally where dreams will either be born… or buried.

With entries officially opened on July 21st and closing on August 16th, the countdown is on. The engines will roar from 22nd to 24th August, and for 125 km of pure speed, skill, and suffering, every fan and driver knows – this isn’t just a race. It’s war on wheels.

A”Tourism City”, Fort Portal is known for its serene beauty, crater lakes, and misty mountains. But for one weekend, peace will be traded for Avgas and V Power. Expect hospitality wrapped in tyre smoke, and fans flooding in with mixed emotions – hope, fear, and fire.

The terrain? Unforgiving. The pressure? Unbearable. The stakes? Everything.

Right now, the NRC is tighter than ever. Ronald Ssebuguzi leads with 187 points, but Ponsiano Lwakataka, with his  ‘hungry snake’, is lurking with 175. He’s not here to play. And then comes the surprise package – Musa Ssegaabwe.

CRC champion 2024 driver turned NRC rising star, Musa holds 165.5 points in his rookie NRC year. Is he the future of Ugandan rallying? Or just a one-season wonder? Fort Portal will answer.

But wait – don’t forget the legend. Duncan Mubiru, sitting at 140, is no stranger to pressure. He’s chasing. Hard.

In CRC, Walter Kibande (55 points) is barely ahead, but Ahmed Kateete (50) is creeping close with his calculated drives. And don’t underestimate Kevin Bebeto (42) – powerful car, powerful statement pending and Robert Ssentongo Nkima chasing hard . Fort Portal will decide who’s bluffing and who’s building legacy.

If you’re in NRC, CRC, or 2WD, and your heart pumps milk instead of fuel – stay home. Every stage is a trap. Every corner a decision. One wrong move, and your championship dream is toast. It’s no longer about who’s fast. It’s about who can handle the pressure, take the hits, and drive through pain – both mechanical and mental.

As one fan put it: “In Fort Portal, we don’t just eat dust – we taste destiny.”

From car fanatics to camera phones on boda bodas, rally unites Uganda like few things can. This is culture. This is emotion. This is family on wheels.

Come, cheer, scream, cry. Because UMC Fort Portal Rally 2025 isn’t just a rally – it’s a turning point in Ugandan motorsport.

So buckle up. Or better yet, stand clear. Because the dust of Fort Portal is ready to rise.

And when it does, only the brave will be remembered.
