Uganda’s celebrated referee Shamirah Nabadda made a commanding statement at the CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) Morocco 2024, after officiating the tournament’s opening match between Morocco and Zambia on July 5, 2025, at the Stade Olympique de Rabat. Nabadda served as Center Referee in a team of highly skilled officials that included Fanta Idrissa Koné (AR2), Alice Umutesi (Fourth Official), Aline Umutoni (VAR), Salima Mukansanga (Assistant VAR), and Daniel Laryea (VAR Supervisor).
