This weekend, ASMOCU together with Women in Motorsport Uganda organised an important training event taking place for the motorsport and motocross (MX) community in Uganda. On 18th and 19th October, all roads lead to Carol House on Bombo Road for a First Aid & Emergency Readiness Training specially designed for drivers, co-drivers, riders, parents, team officials, safety marshals and fans.

Motorsport is exciting, but it’s also risky. Accidents can happen anytime on the track or during practice. That’s why knowing what to do in the first few minutes of an emergency can save a life. This training is about giving our community the skills and confidence to act fast and help one another. Sometimes help comes faster from someone standing right next to you in cockpit, fellow riders, a parent, a marshal, or a fan. Learning basic first aid means you can make a difference from crashes to heat exhaustion, this training will focus on the real situations we face in rallying and motocross, CPR, bleeding control, handling unconscious persons these are skills that can save lives long before an ambulance arrives.
This is more than just training. It’s a step towards building a safer, more prepared motorsport community in Uganda. Whether you’re a competitor, a parent, an official, or a marshall, a supporter, your presence matters.
Let’s come together to protect the sport we love. Let’s be ready for the safety of our drivers, navigators, riders, for peace of mind, and for the future of motorsport in Uganda.
For the love of the game, let’s train to save a life. Don’t miss it!
