Oscar Ntambi stands as one of the defining names of Uganda’s modern rally generation. A product of the highly competitive 2021 rally era, Ntambi’s rise through the ranks has been marked by resilience, adaptability, and an unmistakable hunger for success on gravel.

His breakthrough moment came in 2022, when he etched his name into the history books as the 2WD Category Champion. Behind the wheel of his trusted Toyota Alteza, Ntambi showcased precision, pace, and maturity beyond his years, quickly earning respect across the National Rally Championship paddock.
From 2023 to 2025, Ntambi stepped into more demanding machinery, taking on the challenge of Subaru rally cars in Division 2 of the National Rally Championship. Known for his natural command of loose surfaces, Oscar consistently brought intensity and sharp car control to every stage, earning a reputation as a fierce contender who thrives when conditions are toughest.

A major pillar of his success has been the strength of the partnerships inside the cockpit. For several seasons, Ntambi formed a formidable duo with co-driver Asuman Muhammad. Their chemistry was evident not only in performance but also in trust—an essential currency in rallying, where driver and co-driver hold each other’s lives in their hands. Beyond the pace notes, Asuman played a key technical role within the Forest Rally Team, contributing to the team’s competitive edge.
The 2025 season introduced a new chapter. With Pius Lugya calling the pace notes, Ntambi found another strong rhythm. In just a short time, the pairing delivered impressive performances, showing clarity in communication and growing confidence stage by stage. Their understanding inside the cockpit became one of the quiet success stories of the season.
Competing under the Forest Rally Team, with backing from KCB Bank and Glosh Car Wash, Oscar Ntambi took on three major events in 2025:
Pearl of Africa Uganda Rally in Mbarara
Stabex EMC Rally in Jinja
Rajiv Ruparelia Memorial Rally in Gulu
The Jinja rally proved dramatic when an accident saw the car roll after a tricky corner. But champions are defined not by setbacks—rather by how they respond. True to form, Ntambi bounced back with determination, later claiming victory at the FMU Champions Sprint in Garuga, reminding fans why he is regarded as one of the most fearless drivers on gravel.
The season delivered yet another surprise when Ntambi unveiled a new weapon: the BBY-spec Mitsubishi Evo X, acquired from Adam Essa Rauf. Making its debut at the Busika Champions Sprint, Oscar impressed immediately. Despite still mastering the car, he delivered a confident performance that reignited excitement among motorsport fans and insiders alike.
With the Evo X now fully integrated, strong support from his sponsors, and an increasingly synchronized partnership with Pius Lugya, expectations are high heading into the NRC 2026 season. Those who have followed Ntambi’s journey know one thing for certain—he doesn’t return quietly. He returns stronger.
Oscar Ntambi’s story is still being written, but one theme remains constant: on gravel, he brings heat, power, and relentless intent. And as the next season approaches, the rally fraternity knows, Oscar Ntambi is coming in hot 2026 National Rally Championship season.
