From Clubman to NRC podium – all in a year! That’s the incredible journey of Musa Ssegaabwe, the CEO of Segamu 14 Consult and now one of the hottest names in Ugandan rallying.

Ssegaabwe made his motorsport debut in 2024, driving a Mitsubishi Evolution 9 he bought in 2023. Together with his co-driver Mathias Kiyega, the duo stormed the Clubman Rally Championship (CRC), showing unmatched consistency and speed and yes, they won the 2024 CRC title!
Fast-forward to 2025, and the Segamu Racing Team is now racing with the big guns in the National Rally Championship (NRC). And guess what? Ssegaabwe is sitting 3rd overall on the NRC standings with 207.5 points after 5 of the 7 rounds – an incredible performance for a debut season!
“I’m not chasing the championship, but I’m chasing performance. I believe in speed and consistency – and God’s grace,” Musa told us in an exclusive interview.
This season, he’s shocked many by beating top names in Motorsport world and challenging for stage wins, always pushing his Evo 9 to the limits.

Segamu Racing isn’t just about speed. They’ve been planting trees in every city where rallies are held – from Masaka, Mbarara, Jinja to Fort Portal – and Gulu is next.
Ssegaabwe explained, “Motorsport pollutes. Our tree-planting initiative is our way of giving back to the environment. It’s not about today, but tomorrow,”. This environmental initiative is one of a kind in the Ugandan rallying world and has earned the team respect off the track.
Musa also revealed plans to upgrade to a brand-new Skoda Fabia N5 a Spanish-built rally machine – by the 2026 season.

“The Evo 9 gave me a name, and I don’t plan to sell it, am keeping it as my backup car, but it’s time to take things higher. It’s about the driver and the machine working together.”
The N5 will bring him into even more competitive territory, and fans are already excited to see what he can do with a modern rally car.
As the RR Memorial Rally in Gulu approaches, the Segamu Racing Team is fired up. As their slogan? “Ready to break it and fix it!”
But Ssegaabwe reminds fans “Rally is fun, but safety is key. Please follow marshals’ instructions and stay away from corners and jumps.”
From a debut in Clubman to third in NRC standings, it’s been a dream start for Musa Ssegaabwe and Mathias Kiyega. With skill, passion, and a heart for both racing and the environment, they’ve proven they’re here to stay.
Segamu Racing isn’t just racing – they’re changing the game.
