Ronald Ssebuguzi began his rallying career in 2002, with a Nissan sunny. Then got a celica 165, then a Subaru GC8, from the GC8 he got ex Charlie Lubega EVO IV. He drove Shafiq Semujju’s Subaru N11. He never bought it. That same year he got the EVO 9. Then EVO X and lastly his current Ford Fiesta Proto powered by Shell V-Power each car becoming part of his remarkable story on gravel and tarmac alike. His name was etched into the championship history books after securing the NRC title three times in 2006, 2009, and 2014. Since then, he has continued to be a constant threat on every rally stage, embodying the spirit of resilience and passion that defines Ugandan motorsport.
The 2025 National Rally Championship has been one of the most competitive in recent memory. With the new points format awarding 50 points per event and an additional 10 points for Power Stage, the margin for error has become razor-thin.
