St Noa’s Penalty Mastery Secures Elite Games Hat-Trick

In a heart-stopping finale, St Noa Girls Secondary School-Zana defended their USSSA Elite Games title, edging Kawempe Muslim 5-4 in a penalty shootout thriller. The Bombo-hosted spectacle ended 0-0 after regulation time, but St Noa’s composure shone brightest in the spot-kick decider.
Kawempe’s Agnes Nabukenya, the tournament’s golden boot winner with 11 goals, had her team agonizingly close, but Belindah Nabawanuka’s missed penalty handed St Noa the crown. The reigning champions were clinical, with Angel Dominic, Martha Babirye, Patricia Nayiga, Rebecca Nyakake, and Evelyn Katusiime converting their spot-kicks with unerring accuracy.
St Noa’s dominance continues, adding to their national and FEASSA titles. Their semi-final win saw off Sheema Girls 2-0, while Kawempe Muslim thaced Uganda Martyrs 5-0. Nabukenya’s prowess couldn’t secure the trophy, but her 11 goals stole the show
