Mastering the Game: Aspiring Coaches Showcase Skills in Njeru Under CAF’s Elite Tutelage

At the FUFA Technical Centre in Njeru, a cool breeze swept across the pitch as aspiring football coaches huddled around, hanging on every word of a seasoned instructor. The hum of activity was palpable as whistles echoed and cones were meticulously aligned. Among them, a young coach passionately gestured to his players during a drill, embodying the ambition and energy fueling the CAF A 2024 final assessment.
From December 19th to 21st, football’s brightest coaching talents gathered to put theory into practice. This critical phase of Module 3, Block 7 of the CAF A certification, transitioned from the classroom’s structured lectures on coaching principles to the adrenaline-charged practical field assessments. The highlight of the program is the presence of Francis Kimanzi, a distinguished CAF Coach Educator from Kenya, whose guidance is shaping the future tacticians of African football.

Kimanzi’s rigorous approach, coupled with his vast experience, ensures the assessment is not merely a test but a transformative journey for participants. Coaches are evaluated on technical proficiency, tactical insight, and the ability to inspire and manage teams. “This is more than football—it’s about leadership, discipline, and strategic thinking,” remarked Kimanzi, emphasizing the holistic nature of the program.

The CAF A license remains one of the continent’s most coveted coaching qualifications, and the Njeru assessments stand as a testament to the relentless pursuit of excellence in African football. With each whistle blown and strategy explained, these future coaches are not just passing an exam; they are stepping into roles that will shape the game for generations
