The Justice Forum (JEEMA) has distanced itself from the Democratic Alliance (DA) following the circulation of a document announcing the launch of DA’s national coordinators team, which included JEEMA Secretary General Kateregga Mohamed and other party members.

In a decisive resolution, the National Executive Committee (NEC) of JEEMA convened to deliberate on a possible partnership with DA and categorically ruled out any formal cooperation at this stage. The NEC emphasized that all party alliances must align with JEEMA’s core principles and aspirations before any commitments can be made.
“We want to categorically state that no cooperation between JEEMA and the Democratic Alliance has been approved. Any appearance of our members on DA’s coordination team was done without prior consultation or authorization,” said Kateregga Mohamed, JEEMA’s Secretary General.
The party further underscored that, unless explicitly sanctioned by the NEC, no member of JEEMA holds the mandate to engage with DA or any other political entity. This declaration aims to dispel any misconceptions regarding the party’s official stance on political collaborations.
As Uganda’s political landscape continues to shift, JEEMA remains steadfast in its autonomy and strategic decision-making. The party reassured its supporters and the public that any future partnerships will be pursued transparently, ensuring alignment with its ideological framework.
