The grand showdown, filled with flair and resilience, saw Nyonyi rise above the pressure to etch their name in Bika sports history as the undisputed netball champions of the season.

The final clash was a spectacle of athleticism and strategy, with Nyonyi maintaining a consistent lead despite Mamba’s spirited comeback attempts. Their win not only secured them gold medals but also came with a handsome cheque of UGX 7 million, awarded during a vibrant ceremony that drew thunderous applause from fans and dignitaries alike. Mamba settled for silver and UGX 5 million after a valiant fight that kept spectators on the edge of their seats.

Earlier in the battle for third place, Ngeye had edged Ngonge 21-20 in a nail-biting encounter that showcased sheer determination and tactical discipline. Despite their narrow loss, Ngonge walked away with UGX 2 million for finishing fourth. Meanwhile, the Ngeye clan claimed the bronze medals and UGX 3 million after finishing third, rounding off an intense and highly competitive tournament.
The awarding ceremony was a celebration of excellence and sportsmanship, with each team recognized for its effort, skill, and contribution to the spirit of Buganda unity through sports. The ceremony was graced by prominent officials and was marked by cultural pride, cheers, and jubilation across the stadium.
In football, the tournament kicked off with a highly anticipated clash between Ngabi Nyunga and Kasimba, which ended in a 1-1 draw. The tournament was officially launched by the esteemed Katikkiro of Buganda, Owek. Charles Peter Mayiga, who emphasized the role of sports in fostering unity, talent development, and cultural identity among the clans of Buganda. The stage is now set for more captivating encounters as the football tournament unfolds.
