The Bika Byabaganda Football tournament witnessed a thrilling Wednesday as the Round of 64 continued with six matches at Kibuli SS and Lubiri SS. Abalangira clan and Omutima omuyanja emerged as dominant forces, each securing impressive 3-0 victories.
For Abalangira, Frank Kalanda, Raymond Walugembe, and Ronald Kayondo each found the net in their decisive win against Nakinsige at Kibuli SS. Meanwhile, Ivan Mayanja, Abu Mayanja, and Osman Mayanja were the scorers for Omutima omuyanja as they triumphed 3-0 over Nkusu at Lubiri SS.
In an upset at Lubiri SS, Ngaali surprised Ffumbe with a 2-0 victory, with Joseph Kyeyune and Salim Kazibwe providing the goals. Njovu also edged out Ntalaganya in a close 3-2 contest at Kibuli SS. Asaph Segujja of UPDF FC struck twice, and Patrick Ssekandi added another for Njovu, while Ntalaganya’s goals came from Faizo Mugerwa and Perez Kamuhabwa.
Musu, under the guidance of Faridah Bulega, defeated Ngabi Nnyunga 2-1, with Derrick Jjagwe and Marvin Mulumba scoring. Henry Matovu’s goal for Ngabi Nnyunga was not enough to change the outcome. Earlier at Lubiri SS, Innocent Kanaabi’s lone goal secured a 1-0 win for Nsuma over Mpeewo.
The scheduled match between Mazzi Ga Kisasi and Kinyomo was postponed, and Kkobe advanced via a walkover against Kayozi. The second leg encounters are set for Friday, May 9th, where the aggregate winners will proceed to the Round of 32.
