Fans to Enjoy Free Entry as Africa Netball Cup 2026 Gets Underway in Nairobi

Netball fans in Kenya and across the region will have free access to the Africa Netball Cup 2026 and Netball World Cup Sydney 2027 Qualifier Africa, with organisers confirming that spectators will not pay an entrance fee throughout the tournament. The eight-day competition runs from 19 to 26 September 2026 at the Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani, Nairobi, bringing together leading national teams from across the continent for a major celebration of African netball.

The decision to offer free entry is intended to make the tournament accessible to a wider audience, particularly families, schools, young players and netball enthusiasts, while creating a strong atmosphere for the teams competing for continental honours, Africa Netball Acting President Rebekka Goagoses urged supporters in Nairobi and surrounding areas to take advantage of the opportunity and turn up in large numbers. “We want the people of Kenya to feel that this tournament belongs to them as well. Making entry free gives more people the opportunity to come into the venue, support the teams and experience African netball at the highest level,” Goagoses said.

She added that the presence of supporters would be important in creating an atmosphere that reflects the level of competition on court, adds significance in the women’s competition, where teams will also be battling for Africa’s remaining qualification places at the Netball World Cup Sydney 2027South Africa and Uganda have already secured qualification, while two additional eligible African nations will earn places through the competition in Nairobi.

Spectators arriving on foot will use the designated pedestrian entrance at Kasarani, while VIPs arriving by vehicle and accredited media personnel will use the designated vehicle and media entrance, security personnel will be stationed around the venue to assist spectators and direct vehicles to the appropriate entry points. Accredited journalists will also be guided to the Media Centre.

With free entry confirmed for all spectators, organisers are expecting strong support from the Kenyan public as the continent’s leading netball nations converge on Nairobi.
